We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Treasury Sales Officer to develop and retain Treasury Services business/clients. You will partner with our Commercial Bankers in a consultative sales role, meet annual sales goals and sales activity targets, and plan sales strategies to develop new business. Becoming a member of our team, you will experience and promote Cornerstone Bank as a unique resource for Treasury services.

You will be responsible for generating core deposits and treasury revenue, generating new clients and expanding existing relationships, creating client proposals, and managing the Treasury Services sales process. This includes developing and executing regular calling programs, maintaining a sales pipeline, and analyzing customer needs to present ideas to manage their banking in a more automated, timely, cost-efficient manner. To be successful in the role, you will develop and maintain a strong knowledge of products, pricing strategies, technical tools, and sales strategies to maximize effectiveness and proactively communicate banking changes that impact clients. Success will primarily be measured in your ability to generate new business, meet sales goals, complete tasks in a timely manner, and represent the bank in the community and civic organizations.

Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) in business related field preferred
  • Treasury sales experience in a traditional bank required (including outside sales, new client deposit revenue goals); minimum of (2) two years of experience; three (3) to five (5) years’ experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills required
  • Familiarity of financial software
  • Detail oriented and ability to work under pressure of deadlines
  • All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment background and credit screening
  • Proficient use and functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Fiserv core system and Suntell document imaging/scanning system experience is a plus
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role, and the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and move around the bank and/or outside of the bank 50% of the time; some filing and use of office equipment is required. Continually utilize hand and finger dexterity. Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read information, and/or use a keyboard.  Frequently required to communicate with bank staff and customers; must be able to exchange information in these situations.  Occasionally required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, supplies, office machinery, etc.  Occasionally required to move items up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Ability to maintain regular attendance and be punctual. Ability to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision. Ability to work and sustain attention with distractions and/or interruptions and multitask without loss of efficiency or accuracy. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to interact appropriately with a variety of individuals including customers/clients. Ability to perform in situations requiring speed and deadlines. Ability to work as an integral part of the team.
